one in a million

The Philly Jays (aka Philadelphia Grand Jury) parted ways in November 2011. Lead vocalist Simon “Berkfinger” moved to Berlin, and after 412 days away, he’s returned with new band ‘Feelings’. This is what he’s got to show us so far, a neat little biscuit called ‘One In A Million’. Theres no MacBook used here, everything you hear is the real deal. They’ve got sound, brother!

midnight city

I love it when I hear a song on the radio while driving, and manage to remember it’s title by the time I get home. This is from French band M83, and is taken from their 2011 album ‘Hurry Up We’re Dreaming’. Kind of synthpop, dream pop and indietronic all mushed into one. Music genres names are hard to keep up with these days, ehh. This is ‘Midnight City’. Enjoy!

and i will kiss

For those who watched London’s Opening Ceremony, you will have heard this. This is an amazing collaboration between UK electro-group ‘Underworld’, profoundly deaf percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie, and the Pandemonium Drummers. A modern symphony to the standard of Mozart or Beethoven. Listen to the entire 17 minutes, its well worth it.
